Cp Game last night

I ran my Cp game last night. I changed from my normal night due to player request, it worked out ok, the one player who would have had difficulty can’t really make games this week anyway. Pity he would have added to last nights game.

But one player whose character is a a spiral downwards at the moment, ran into some trouble. He rolled a one, used luck, rolled another one, by our system thats 1,1 so a botch. He spent 4 luck to reroll, but this roll is on gm wim so I get to decided what to do, and rolled a 10 and then a three (you rerolled 10s and added them in cp) so a 13. So I decided what I was going to do something with that. I decided to see if I could make him betray the party. I warned him by commenting one theory where unlucky 13 came from, judas at the last supper.

He managed to get himself captured by poor tactics and failed rolls and he was being questions. The woman who was in charge started questioning him. He has also came across as a foreign spy. He was also threatened with death and mindstriping.

He had just described the party when they turned up. So the party was questioned by the npc to find out if they were spys. One said he was a nobel from a foreign country. A player not in the scene realised that saying that meant that the noble would be earmarked for mindstripping.

The party got out of it partly helped by npc mistakes but they learned a lot and got more clues to their situation in the maze. Then are now left with a possible midboss next game.

All in all a good game. The players did well and we had a good atmosphere.
